a project to help growing artists

hello my fellow deviants,

I devote this journal entry to a project I was having in mind for quite a long time already and finally found the courage to start it up.

It is about a group that is trying to give growing artists the chance to improve their skill with the help of other members of DA in a sort of mentor system - if you have the time, check it out and see if you would like to be part of it.

I've been contacting a good number of people already, mainly hobbyist, if they would like to help, some already agreed, other's didn't respond yet and unfortunately several also denied due to time reasons or feeling unable to teach themselves, which is totally understandable for beeing a teacher is a stressful and time intensive matter and comes with much responsibility. Still I hope we will find some more skilled people to lend a hand and in future times also find people outside the digital artist area who would like to help so we can offer teaching in various areas of art.

If you want to be part of this project, please read all the information given in the blog and the custom info area - students and members are always welcome, teacher apllication will go through voting of a group of several people (admins, other teachers and people outside DA) to evaluate if a person is able and skilled enough to teach (I'm fairly sure this specific topic will cause a lot of discussion and hard feelings but well ... I never expected this to be easy).

the group has not officially opened it's business yet - we're still collecting and setting things up - official start will be announced in a blog entry
